Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be part of a live studio audience? I once had the privilege of sitting in on a taping of George Strombolopolous at the CBC studio in Toronto. Beyond being a pretty cool experience, it gave me a whole new appreciation for what goes into producing a TV show like that.
Perhaps you've wondered what goes into the pre-recorded messages we show on Sundays at Southridge. Our messages are filmed in our Glenridge auditorium every Thursday night. Normally, the preacher speaks to an empty room. On May 24th, however, …
On Good Friday, we will host a single celebration service at 10am our Glenridge Location where we will put the spotlight on Jesus. This will be a chance for us to be together as a church family to reflect on the events of Easter and spend time in worship, celebrating what Easter means to us as followers of Christ. We hope to see everyone there from all three locations!
Because we will not be collecting a financial offering as part of our Easter Sunday service, we encourage Southridge partipants to come prepared to give on Friday morning. For those who …

Prayer is one of the simplest, yet most significant ways we can experience God's presence in our lives. Unfortunately, many of us find prayer confusing and intimidating. Does prayer really make a difference? If so, how do you get good at it? Does God really listen? What if I'm too shy to pray out loud? And if God is all-powerful, what's the point of praying anyway?
On March 23rd & 24th, Southridge will be hosting a prayer workshop for all those desiring a greater experience of prayer in their life. Whether you're interested in deepening your …

This past Sunday, we challenged you to tell your story - the story of how God has changed your life - in six words.
On Sunday evening, at Spotlight, we invited people to share their six words. The stories were inspiring, unique and beautiful celebrations of what God has done and is doing in our lives and our community.
To keep that going, we want you to share your six words here.
In addition, you can share them on the Southridge facebook page or on Twitter. (Post on Twitter @Southridge with the hashtag #SixWords)

As a multi-site church, it is not often that our entire community gathers together at one time, in one place. So from time to time we host “family-reunion” events where we all come together and celebrate our oneness with God and each other.
"Spotlight" is one of these events and has become a high point in the life and rhythm of the Southridge community. These evenings are designed entirely around focusing our hearts, thoughts and lives on Jesus and, in a sense, shining the spotlight on Him.

On Sunday, we were challenged to engage in spiritual conversations with our friends. As a first step, Jeff encouraged us to ask our friends,
"What would a church have to talk about for you to be interested in coming?"
Perhaps your friends have questions about God, faith or the church. Or maybe they are passionate about a certain subject or issue and would love to hear what the Bible says about it. Whatever the question, issue or topic, email it to us at feedback@southridge.cc. We want to take their questions and suggestions and turn them …

Got a question about something you heard or experienced on a Sunday morning at Southridge? Have a story you'd like to share of how God spoke to you through one of our services? Want to encourage the staff and volunteers who make Sundays happen?
We would love to hear from you. We design every service with you in mind and your feedback encourages us, teaches us, motivates us and challenges us to bring our very best, Sunday after Sunday. We evaluate every piece of feedback, whether constructive or... (what's the word for positive feedback?) ...encouraging!

It was one month ago today that we gathered at Southridge, wrote the names of our friends and loved ones on sticky notes and prayed for them. Later that evening, at Spotlight, many of you came forward to claim these sticky notes and commit to praying for the names written on them for thirty days.
Thirty days later, that journey has officially come to an end. The question is, how has this experience been for you?
If you wrote a name on a sticky note, have you had any opportunities to connect with that person in the last 30 days? …

This Sunday we launched a brand new series called, "unCHRISTIAN". For six weeks, we'll be looking at some of the ways that we get between Jesus and the people He dearly loves, sometimes causing them to run away from Him, instead of to Him.
If you missed the first week, you can catch up by watching the message HERE.
As we consider the people around us who may be resistant to following Jesus, particularly because of their experience of the Church or other Christians, I'd like to encourage you to consider the people in your life …

I've had a few requests for the written prayer we prayed together at last night's Spotlight service. Here it is:
God of heaven, You have shown us how much eternity really matters. Heaven and hell hang in the balance and our only hope is Jesus.
Jesus, You came to seek and save the lost. You were called, "The Friend of Sinners". May we, too, befriend those who are living apart from You. May we embrace Your heart and motivation as we live our everyday lives, devoting ourselves to reaching out to lost people.

This past Sunday morning, hundreds of people wrote down the names of friends and loved ones who are living without Jesus. We believe that God loves every single person and desires for each of us to be saved and to come to know and love Jesus wholeheartedly.
As a church community, we want to be in prayer for those living without Jesus because we believe that, through prayer, God can work miracles in the hearts and minds of even the most resistant and skeptical person. We may not always feel like our prayers matter, but the Bible tells us otherwise. …

It's hard to believe, but Christmas is right around the corner. Our team is hard at work, dreaming and designing an experience you won't want to miss. More importantly, you won't want to miss out on the opportunity to invite your friends. Given some of the ways we're being challenged by the book of Jonah, we're hoping that this Christmas will give many of us the chance to invite our friends, neighbours, coworkers and classmates to see, hear and experience the love and message of Jesus, through a very accessible event for people of all …
In the face of opposition, distraction and intimidation, give us "even greater determination" (Nehemiah 6:9) @Southridge

This morning, I sat on my front porch with a cup of coffee and my Bible, as I often do. My daily Bible reading plan has me reading through the Old Testament book of Ezra and the Gospel of Luke. But today, the plan added a reading of Psalm 133.
I've read this short, simple Psalm many times before. But given our recent journey with Vineland MB Church, and the fact that I'll be leading worship there tomorrow as part of a four-week experiment in oneness, I read these words with fresh eyes:
